Here are the TOP 5 Movies from US for the week ending 18th Aug 2013 (Sun).
Last weekend, the star studded new release, Lee Daniel's The Butler (Forest Whitaker) took the top spot with an encouraging opening of $25 millions. It is a biography of White house butler, Cecil Graines, whom served 8 presidents during his tenure. Other big names in this project are Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda and Robin Williams.
However, another more prominent biography, Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) detailing the life of Apple CEO, Steve Jobs didn't do well at all in the box office, it managed to open at seventh spot with mere $6.7 millions. The other new release, Kick-Ass 2 (sequel to 2010's Kick-Ass) opened in a lower than expected sales of $13.6 millions.
