Li Of Pi, touted to be the next Avatar, because of its extravagant 3D special effect (by TIME). Directed by Lee Ang (famous director from Taiwan that brought us Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon [2000], Hulk [2003], Broke Back Mountain [2005], Lust, Caution [2007] and the more recent one Taking Woodstock [2009]). Adapted from Yann Martel's famous fantasy adventure novel with the same name (first published in Sep 2001). Life Of Pi is a true visual treats that all fantasy fans will love to love! As quoted by the director, Ang Lee, the most challenging tasks for any director is to deal with water and animal. In this case, he need to deal with both (a real and computer graphic Bengal Tiger as well as lots of water). The story about how a young boy called Pi and a Bengal Tiger survived a ship disaster might seems less than impressive, but the special effects and the spiritual content are more than enough to satisfy audience from all ages.
After Brave, here come the next 3D animation movie, ParaNorman. From the synopsis, it reminds me of the funnier (or kid) version of "The Sixth Sense", you know, especially the "I see dead people" part?
In any case, as this is a comedy, thus, lots of funny stuff is expected there. Even though there are no big stars in this film but I have a gut feeling that it will be a fun ride as the director (Chris Butler) is the one who brought us the powerful animation like Corpse Bride (2005) and Coraline (2009).

Today, I am going to share the most anticipated superhero sequel of 2012, The Dark Knight Rises (in IMAX). The finale of Batman trilogy under the helm of the great director/writer, Christopher Nolan. During one of the interview with the director, he shared that it will be a true conclusion of the trilogy, can't wait to see this conclusive masterpiece.
Besides the previous 2 Batman installments (Batman Begins [2005] and The Dark Knight [2008]), Christopher Nolan also brought to us other masterpieces like Inception [2010] and Memento [2000]. I've seen all his previous works and all of them given me WOW experiences! I have confident that The Dark Knight Rises will WOW me once again.
Besides Christian Bale whom reprises the titular role, do look out for the other promising roles/casts like Selina Kyle/Catwomen (by Anne Hathaway), John Blake (by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and the baddie Bane (by Tom Hardy).

Animation movies, especially those in 3D, always managed to attract crowds to the cinema. That's the reason why the sequel or prequel of animation movies are constantly in the pipe-line. During this summer holidays (Jul 2012), sequel of the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age 4 - Continental Drift will be released in between 2 superheroes blockbusters i.e. The Amazing Spiderrman (4th Jul) and The Dark Knight Rises (20th Jul 2012).
By the way, it has been exactly 10 years since the first Ice Age (2002). What makes this fourth installment slightly different from the previous 3 is the joined directorship from Mike Thurmeier (director of the last 3 installments) and Steve Martino (director of "Horton Hears A Who![2008]"). Regardless, I am pretty sure that lots of laughter are expected from this highly popular animation franchise.
