Rise Of The Machines - Awesome New Trailers From Fast And Furious 6 (May 2013) And Pacific Rim (Jul 2013)

The machines that I am talking about here are the extremely fast beast on the road aka the speed racing cars (Fast And Furious 6) and the extremely huge robots (Pacific Rim).

Universal Pictures just released their very last trailer for Fast And Furious 6, there are plenty of new footages in this finale trailer. For more movie details about this movie, check out my earlier coverage here

At the same time, Warner Brothers also released their badass trailer for Pacific Rim. I must say that this awesome trailer is mouth watering and I was instantly bought-in by the trailer and committed to watch it in IMAX 3D when it is released in July 2013. Weekly Box Office Movies in US (Ending 2013/04/28)

pain and gain
Here are the TOP 5 Movies from US for the week ending 28th April 2013 (Sun).

SPECIAL NOTE : Last week, there are two smaller budget movies being released, one is from the great director, Michael Bay (Pain and Gain - by Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson) and the other is a star-studded comedy, The Big Wedding. As expected, the former, Pain and Gain took all the limelight with a whooping $20 million (the movie is only budgeted at $25 millions). As for the latter, The Big Wedding, even with its heavyweight cast list like Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried and Robin WIlliams, it manages only to stay at fourth position with a mere $7.5 millions. It is a flop by any standard.

Iron Man 3 has been released in a few countries last week   with rave review and it has taken their box offices by storm, similar fate is expected when it is released here in USA next week. What do you think?

Cool Poster Arts Showing You The ORIGIN Of The Superheros

poster art
Every superhero has its unique origin i.e. the core of their transformation. With this in mind, the people behind Ninjabot has recently released an ORIGIN series trying to illustrate the origin of the popular superhero through the Poster Art.

When I first chanced upon them, they just WOWed me...

To be honest, they are not those complicated kind of poster arts but all of them do depict the core personality of each of the superhero. In fact, there's a Kickstarter campaign at the moment, do take a look and give them your support if you want to see the creation of more of this "ORIGIN" art.

Meanwhile, following are quoted from the creator of this porter arts (via GeekTyrant.com):

"Each print has it's own personality, and at it's very core each print represents the story of one character. Although all the prints may not look the same, they still fit together as a series. They were all illustrated the way we thought fit the character, and story best. The most exciting part about this series is that as we created each one, we had no idea what it was going to look like. We tried to follow the story of each character as much as possible. With each illustration, we only tell you as much as you need to know to figure out who they are, and what their story is"

Weekly Box Office Movies in US (Ending 2013/04/07)

evil dead 2013
Here are the TOP 5 Movies from US for the week ending 7th April 2013 (Sun).

SPECIAL NOTE : The remake of 1981's classical horror movie, Evil Dead scares the hell out of the audience in USA and tops the chart with a warm $26 millions. Same storyline but with different depth of horror and it's deemed as the most terrifying film in the recent years. The original 1981 version was directed by Sam Raimi (the great director whom brought us The Spiderman Trilogy) and this remake was directed by Fede Alvarez (mind you, this is his first full-featured length film, so, it's really an awesome job for a "newbie").

The other "new" release (re-release of Jurassic Park 3D) doing pretty handsomely at fourth place with $18.2 millions.

The Croods and G.I. Joe Retaliation have a tie at third place with $21.1 millions.

The Great Gatsby - A Remake With Promising Casts Plus 15 Epic Posters (May 2013)

the great gatsby, leonardo dicaprioThe Great Gatsby, the fourth remake (in movie) with the same title is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Long Island-set novel. In this latest remake, Leonardo DiCaprio starred as the titular character, Jay Gatsby. Other big names in the casts are Topbey Maguire (starred as Nick Carraway, still remember the Spiderman in the previous Trilogy?), Carey Mullingan (starred as Daisy Buchanan) and many more.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann whom brought us a number of epic movies like Romeo + Juliet (1996, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio), Mouline Rouge (2001) and Australia (2008). This forthcoming epic to be set in 1922 of New York City, so, for those who like period movie, this seems to be a great movie not to be missed. In fact, this movie reminded me as the land version of "Titanic"! ;-)

Synopsis of The Great Gatsby (from GeekTyrant):

The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

The Great Gatsby will be released on 10th May 2013 (USA) and will be in 3D format as well.
