Weekly Box Office Movies in US (Ending 2012/12/16)

the hobbit, an unexpected journey, gollum
Here are the TOP 5 Movies from US for the week ending 16th December 2012 (Sun).

SPECIAL NOTE : As expected, the long-awaited prequel, The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey took the pole position with a record breaking sales at $84.6 (it even surpassed the The Lord Of The Ring Trilogy). Even though the critics are mostly with mixed reaction, it is still a movie worth the wait and experience it in the new 48 fps (frames per second) technology in IMAX.

I've watched it in IMAX 3D (non-48 fps), if you are interested, check out my review here.

USA:
1. The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey [IMAX-3D] (New)
[$84.6 millions]
rise of the guardians, 3d animation
2. Rise Of The Guardians (3D) [$7.14 millions]

3. Lincoln [$7.03 Millions]
4. Skyfall [$6.56 Millions]
life of pi, lee ang, 3d
5. Life Of Pi [$5.41 millions]
Cheers!
