Battleship [IMAX] (May 2012)

Battleship
Battleship, inspired by the classic Hasbro naval combat game, Battleship is one rare big budget blockbuster movie that screens outside US almost one month earlier that it's release in US (scheduled to be released in May 2012).

I took the advantage and managed to secured tickets to a full-house theatre yesterday, in IMAX, of course. I was fully immersed in the movie, from head to tail. With it's marvellous and stunning visual treats, convincing acting by the leads (after the flop of the mega budget movie, John Carter, Tylor Kitsch redeemed himself as Alex Hopper, a wayward younger brother turned hero). A typical popcorn movie that can be enjoyed by the whole family, regardless of your age. Not only that, it is a show that worth the IMAX premium price! This is one of the few movie that I hope there is a sequel!

Also, one point worth mentioning is that this is one of the serious alien invasion movie that portraying the alien with human liked physics but humanised heart (i.e. not killing the human kind blindly)! My only "complaint" about the movie is too less air-time for Rihanna and Liam Neeson.

My verdict is : 4.5 stars (out of 5 stars)

Enjoy...
