Weekly Box Office Movies in US, Singapore and Malaysia (#8-20120513)

Here are the TOP 5 Movies for the week ending 13th May 2012 (Sun).

SPECIAL NOTE: As expected, The Avengers took the centre stage for the second week! Broken the first week record seems to be insufficient for the superheroes, it has broken the box office history once again to become the first movie to cross the USD$100 Mil in the second week of release. If the momentum continues in the US and global markets, it looks set to be a real contender to become the most successful movie in the movie history i.e. beating the Avatar! In fact, the first 2 movies are identical across the board in USA, Singapore and Malaysia box offices. What it means is that the vampire (Dark Shadows) is of no fight against the assembly of superheros, as far as box office is concern. This coming weekend, Battleship will be released in the US, wonder whether it has strong enough alien power to topple the superheroes? I am not sure but I think it will be a close fight as I personally viewed that Battleship is a great movie as well.
