Pacific Rim - Cool Behind The Scene Featurette

Pacific Rim
The two-minutes behind the scene sneak peak of Pacific Rim that I am going to share next will give you a glimpse of how the giant robot is integrated with the human so as two-become-one (technically should be three-become-one since there are two human beings controlling the robot). From the visionary director, Guillermo del Toro, this upcoming original sci-fi looks set to be an epic in the making and will be remembered for many years to come.

In this sneak peek, there are many new footage not shown in the previous trailers. Also, you can get a better glimpse of the giant monsters (Kaiju) and the epic fight with the giant robot.

Pacific Rim will be released globally on 12th July 2013 in IMAX and IMAX 3D as well. For my earlier coverage on this movie, click here.

Pacific Rim - Latest Trailer That Will Blow You Away!

Pacific Rim movie poster
Move away Godzilla, forget about the Transformers, here comes the long awaited sci-fi, Pacific Rim, the gigantic man-made robots vs the gigantic monsters called Kaiju. Directed by Guillermo del Toro (the well known director whom last brought us the Hellboy franchise and Pan's Labyrinth).

Last weekend, Warner Bros released the latest trailer of Pacific Rim at  the Hero Complex Film Festival. It is awesomely awesome and I can guarantee you that watching the trailer once is not enough, especially if you are a sci-fi fans.

Before proceed to the trailer, check out the short synopsis of Pacific Rim below (source: GeekTyrant.com):

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Now... enjoy the trailer below.

Pacific Rim - Latest Character Posters (Jul 2013)

pacific rim
Being a sci-fi fan, one of my personal most anticipated movie is non other than Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. One specific reason is it is not a sequel or prequel ie a brand new story with giant monsters and giant robots. A bit like Transformers but with a fresh touch.

Warner Bros has released quite a few mouth watering giant robots posters (click here to see the details) and visually awesome trailer(s) since a few weeks ago. Recently, they have released yet another marketing campaign that allow user to create their own Jaeger (aka the giant robot) poster (poster on the left is an example of the poster created via this app). If you find it interesting, click here to find out more of the app.

Also, two more character posters have been released just awhile ago. So, enjoy the app and the character posters below..

Rise Of The Machines - Awesome New Trailers From Fast And Furious 6 (May 2013) And Pacific Rim (Jul 2013)

The machines that I am talking about here are the extremely fast beast on the road aka the speed racing cars (Fast And Furious 6) and the extremely huge robots (Pacific Rim).

Universal Pictures just released their very last trailer for Fast And Furious 6, there are plenty of new footages in this finale trailer. For more movie details about this movie, check out my earlier coverage here

At the same time, Warner Brothers also released their badass trailer for Pacific Rim. I must say that this awesome trailer is mouth watering and I was instantly bought-in by the trailer and committed to watch it in IMAX 3D when it is released in July 2013. Awesomeness From Pacific Rim Viral Campaign [Jul 2013]

pacific rim
Looking for a Sci-fi movie with giant monsters vs giant robots? Just think about the mash-up between Godzilla and Transformers, got the picture? If this is the kind of movie you are looking for, then the forthcoming Pacific Rim will be your cup of tea.

Recently, Warner Bros has released their new viral campaign and it seems like it is a success since it has created enough hype but yet doesn't disclose too much as yet. Pacific Rim will only be released in Jul 2013 (12th July 2013, to be exact) and thus I am sure there will be a series of subsequent promotional viral campaigns in the pipeline. I am looking forward for more. Oh, by the way, the movie was originally scheduled to be released this year (in 2D only) but was subsequently changed their direction and re-mastered it for a 3D release in 2013.

Upcoming Movies Confirmed To Be In 3D And Their Release Dates

Not all movies are meant to be released in 3D and of course some of the movies released in 3D did provide a whole lot of different experience as compared to 2D. Some recent good example are Marvel's The Avengers and Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter, just to name a few.

Of course, 3D format command higher ticket fee because of its higher production cost and it seems to be gaining bigger margin from business perspective. That's why many studios still aiming at releasing more titles in 3D formats or better still, converting an existing 2D format and re-released it in 3D e.g. Titanic and the forthcoming Finding Nemo.

So, it is interesting to find out which forthcoming movies will be released in 3D. Following are the collection of new movies announced recently to be released in 3D format:

1. Pacific Rim  - Scheduled Release Date : 12th July 2013:

2. 300 : Rise Of An Empire (sequel to 2006's 300) - Scheduled Release Date : 2nd August 2013:

3 End Of World Movies To Expect After 2012 (Supposedly The Year Of "End Of World")

If the Mayan prophecy is true, we will be doomed by 21/12/2012, so why bother creating movies scheduled to be released after 2012? So, think about it.

In any case, when is the real "end of world" is not the topic to be covered here, as it is, we can't even predict our own future, how can we predict the future of the whole world? What I am going to share here are movies with End Of World related theme (3D and non-3D) to be released in 2013 (Summer).

Ok, maybe the following comic strip does provide some valid and practical clue towards this Mayan Prophecy phenomena:
