7 Blockbuster Movies Not To Be Missed In Singapore [Now To May 2013]

Usually, beginning from the month of May, Hollywood and Film Distributors from Asia (mainly Hong Kong, China and Taiwan) will be releasing some mouth-watering blockbuster movies in the cinemas. Today, I am going to share 7 upcoming blockbuster movies to be screened in Singapore from now till end of May 2013. These are all the MUST WATCH movies which movie buffs (like me) should not missed.

Of course, some of the very prominent ones like Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness etc will definitely make it to the list, however, there are much more than that. Some of them you might not even heard of it, especially those blockbuster movies from Asia, for example, David Loman etc...!

I am pretty sure you will be spoilt for choice in the coming months. Don't worry, I would not just stop here, I will be releasing the upcoming blockbuster movies for June and July soon. So, are you ready to immerse yourself in the sea of blockbusters?

12 Upcoming 3D Movies (Till June 2013)

January has just past and we are left with 11 months to go to catch the movies. In any case, beginning of the year is usually the lull period and thus not many big budget blockbusters will be released during this period.

So far, there are only two 3D movies released in January i.e. Texas Chainsaw (3D) and Hansel and Gretel - Witch Hunters.  

While waiting for the bigger blockbusters to be released during the summer period, I thought it is a good idea to share the upcoming 3D Movies from February till June 2013 so that you can make a better decision on which movies to watch in 3D or even IMAX 3D.

Upcoming Movies Confirmed To Be In 3D And Their Release Dates

Not all movies are meant to be released in 3D and of course some of the movies released in 3D did provide a whole lot of different experience as compared to 2D. Some recent good example are Marvel's The Avengers and Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter, just to name a few. 

Of course, 3D format command higher ticket fee because of its higher production cost and it seems to be gaining bigger margin from business perspective. That's why many studios still aiming at releasing more titles in 3D formats or better still, converting an existing 2D format and re-released it in 3D e.g. Titanic and the forthcoming Finding Nemo.

So, it is interesting to find out which forthcoming movies will be released in 3D. Following are the collection of new movies announced recently to be released in 3D format:

1. Pacific Rim  - Scheduled Release Date : 12th July 2013:

2. 300 : Rise Of An Empire (sequel to 2006's 300) - Scheduled Release Date : 2nd August 2013:

3. Godzilla - Scheduled Release Date : 16th May 2014

4. Independence Day Forever Part 1 and Part 2 - Release Dates has not been confirmed yet but the original Independence Day will be re-released in 3D on 3rd July 2013

3 End Of World Movies To Expect After 2012 (Supposedly The Year Of "End Of World")

If the Mayan prophecy is true, we will be doomed by 21/12/2012, so why bother creating movies scheduled to be released after 2012? So, think about it.

In any case, when is the real "end of world" is not the topic to be covered here, as it is, we can't even predict our own future, how can we predict the future of the whole world? What I am going to share here are movies with End Of World related theme (3D and non-3D) to be released in 2013 (Summer).

Brief Sypnosis : While attending a party at James Franco's house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and many other celebrities are faced with the apocalypse.(the casts are playing themselves in the movie)

Stars : Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi

Brief Sypnosis : When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.

2012 upcoming 3 d movies (aug to dec 2012) from Richard Ng

First Issue Of "Upcoming 3D Movies" Is Ready For FREE download

As a movie buff, besides watching movies, I also like to share with friends and colleagues on which movies are worth watching and which movies are "akan datang" (Malay for "coming soon"). That's the main reason I created this movie blog. For the past few days, I have been brewing something that I had planned for quite sometime: an eGuide for upcoming 3D movies (mainly from Hollywood). 

I am pleased to announce that the brainchild has since been materialised and my first issue of "Upcoming 3D Movies" guide (or color booklet, if you like) is finally LAUNCHED. You can now download it FREE from the following link:

Upcoming 3D Movies eGuide (May to Jul)

You may ask why only until Jul 2012? One key reason being that big budget movie's (especially 3D movies) screening schedule is subjected to frequent changes and most of the multi-media resources  like posters, official site etc... are available only closer to the release dates. Hence, I thought it is good to cut it into a smaller chunk of resources for easier digestion (or enjoyment)!  

 

Just to share a little bit more on how I decided on the design of this eGuide. Following are the 3 key factors that I adopted when designing this eGuide:

1. The content must be easy to read and pleasing to the eyes (hence, more photos/pictures/posters and less words);

2. Able to hyperlink to the latest online resources (this is to ensure that users can access more up-to-date information/resources directly fro the eGuide)

3. Users can share it freely online and thus I've made it into PDF version and load it into Dropbox for FREE download (you are free to share the Dropbox link to anyone else).   

This being my first eBook (or eGuide), there are plenty of rooms for improvement. Thus, I would hope to receive some comments/feedback so that I can do it better in the next release. As at now, I am planning to release the next guide (for month Aug 2012 to Oct 2012) in the month of May/Jun 2012. So, stay tune!
