Movie Review - Thor : The Dark World (Spoiler-Free)

Finally, managed to catch the talk of the town movie at the moment, Thor - The Dark World. I must say that this is rare case scenario whereby sequel is better than the original. Maybe watching in IMAX 3D does add a little spice to my movie experience ;-)

Overall, I give this highly entertaining sequel 4.5 stars (out of 5 stars). Even though the plot is at bit messy at times and the villain, Malekith is not as powerful or deadly as I hope it to be but overall it is still a great blockbuster which worth the premium ticket. 

If there is any complain that I would have it is the screen time of Loki, his screen time is lesser than I expected but every scene that he is in, he just steal the limelight with his wittiness and cold stares.

By the way, if you have not watch the movie, please do take note that there are TWO after credits scene..first one probably lead us to Marvel's next year project, Guardians Of The Galaxy and the second one is just to satisfy fans that there will be more Thor coming soon as the ending sentence is "Thor Will Be Back" ;-)

By now, I am pretty sure that you know the Thor sequel, Thor The Dark World is coming up fast and furious with all the marketing effort and know what it is all about. THOR The Dark World - New Featurette And Posters (Nov 2013)

Wow! You mean there are more media releases for the upcoming Thor sequel, Thor The Dark World? Actually, the more the merrier, won't you think so?

 

So far, all the stuff released are great stuff and look like an epic to me and it could be better than the first one (maybe it is the spill-over effect from the success of The Avengers).

THOR - The Dark World : 2 New Character Posters Focusing on ladies (Nov 2013)

In less than two months, we will be seeing the highly anticipated super-hero sequel, Thor The Dark World in the cinemas near us. From all the media release so far, it seems to be an epic which might surpass the first Thor.

 

Recently, Marvel has released 2 more character posters featuring the lady leads i.e. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexandeer). Not too sure about their relationship yet but personally I guess they might be involved in love triangle with Thor.

One of the most anticipated sequel in November 2013 is non other than Thor - The Dark World. After the success of 2011's Thor, all the casts (including Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston) were returned for the second serving. Under the helm of new director, Alan Tylor.

 

So far, all the released trailers and movie stills are pointing it to a glorious epic to be and I am very looking forward to it. Short synopsis of Thor - The Dark World:

Thor : The Dark World is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2011's Thor. Chris Hemsworth reprises the titular semi-god role. Other casts like Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins return in this sequel too. 

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) looks as dangerous and funny as ever and it makes him one of the most "like-able" villain in the super-hero movies. 

Recently, Walt Disney Pictures has released an awesome full-length trailer that make it a MUST WATCH movie of the year. Short synopsis of Thor The Dark World:

Awesome super-size trailers for superhero sequels : Man Of Steel And Thor The Dark World

Apart from the upcoming must watch super hero blockbuster, Iron Man 3, which will be released in late Apr or early May 2013 (depending on which country are you at), the other two superhero sequels that all eyes are fixing on are Man Of Steel (technically a reboot) and Thor - The Dark World.
