Weekly Box Office Movies in US (Ending 2013/07/28)

Here are the TOP 5 Movies from US for the week ending 28th Jul 2013 (Sun).

As expected, last week's only new release, The Wolverine, tops the chart over the weekend. However, this highly anticipated sequel opened with a lower than expected figure of $55 millions. (Personal note: I've watched the movie in 2D and can fully understand why there is no beast size success as there is simply LACK OF SURPRISE!).

The Conjuring is holding well at second place with $22.1 millions. It seems that a sequel or even a trilogy of this surprise horror hit is unavoidable.

Now, enjoy the chart...

The Wolverine - My Original Infographic (Jul 2013)

the wolverine, movie in a pic infographicAfter created the beast size post on The Wolverine a week plus ago, I've decided to try my hand again (second time) to design an Infographic on the movie theme. This time round, I've picked The Wolverine as this is the most anticipated sequel at the moment. For my very first infographic on the movie theme, click Oz The Great And Powerful.
As per my very first one, I designed this infographic by using the Powerpoint Software. Also, I've decided to give it a title. After much thought, here comes my Infographic series - Movie In A Pic. What do you think about the name? As my Infographic venture is still in its infancy, any input/comment are welcome as I intended to make it as a regular feature in the future.
Before proceed further, I would like to ask you for a favour i.e. to leave me a note or two on your view (positive or negative) about this Infographic. Also, if you have any idea or movie that would like me to create as an Infographic, please feel free to leave the details in the comment section. Steady?
Now, hope you enjoy my second infographic which is hot from the oven.

The Wolverine - The Beast Size Movie Trailers, Posters And Many More

the wolverine movie poster
The Wolverine
After Pacific Rim (which is opening this week), the next big budget 3D extravaganza that I am totally looking forward to is The Wolverine, sequel (or maybe reboot) of the 2009's X-men Origin : Wolverine. Once again, Hugh Jackman reprises the titular role and the this time round it is closer to home (for me, since I am an Asian) as most part of the movie seems to be happening in Japan (at least from the trailer).

Short synopsis of The Wolverine (source: GeekTyrant):

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Now, enjoy the beast size of The Wolverine details in the form of trailers, posters, character posters and featurettes.

The Wolverine - The Insanely Good Trailer

the wolverineThe Wolverine, a spin off from the X-men franchise is also a sequel to the 2009's X-Men Origins : Wolverine. Hugh Jackman again reprises the titular role (I personally view that Hugh Jackman fit into this superhero with animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities and super healing power, perfectly. What do you think?).

Directed by James Mangold and stars, Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Brian Tee. It hits theatres on 26th July 2013.
