Big Ass Spider - A 3D Movie That You Might Not Know Exists (Oct 2013)

Kick Ass Spider Poster
Granted, this particular movie title would not ring a bell to you and might not ring any bell even in the future. It is actually one of the SXSW 2013 films and will only in limited screening this month in USA. The movie will be released in DVD in Jan 2014.

Since they are limited upcoming 3D movies to blog about, Big Ass Spider is one of the rare sci-fi that fit the lull period of October month. Actually, after watching the trailer, it is not as bad as the movie title. Of course, don't expect a fully developed characters and plot from the movie! ;-)

Short synopsis of Big Ass Spider:

A giant alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampage the city of Los Angeles. When a massive military strike fails, it is up to a team of scientists and one clever exterminator to kill the creature before the city is destroyed.

I am not sure whether the movie will be released in other countries but it could likely to be one of the straight-to-DVD kind of movie.

Now, enjoy the trailer below....

Gravity - Probably The Last Featurette With Real NASA Astronaut (Oct 2013)

gravity
Gravity will be coming fast and furious next week, I am pretty sure most of you are intrigued by the teasers, trailers so far and in awe of what you've seen (me too).

Recently, Warner Bros released yet another featurrete focus on the IMAX technology as well as some feedback from the real NASA astronaut. As per the director, Alfonso Cuaron, it will not be a futuristic sci-fi but rather a sci-fi that is as close as the present time.

Gravity will be released in IMAX and IMAX 3D on 4th Oct 2013. Before watching the latest featurrete, check out the short synopsis below:

A medical engineer and an astronaut work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space.

Gravity - New Featurette That Convince You Why You Need To Watch It In 3D or IMAX (Oct 2013)

gravity movie
In about 2 weeks' time, we will finally able to watch the presently most anticipated sci-fi, Gravity in big screens. With or without the latest featurette that I am about to share next, I will sure to watch it in IMAX 3D as I viewed that this is the kind of movie that will give you a totally different IMAX experience.

If you are still clueless about Gravity, fret not, check out my earlier posts below:

Else, you can just check out the following short synopsis of the movie (Gravity will be in cinemas on 4th Oct 2013):

Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone-tethered to nothing but each other and spiralling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth...and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Now, keep reading for the latest featurette and TV Spot.

GRAVITY - The Heart Stopping New Trailer (October 2013)

gravityOccasionally, we will come across movie teaser or trailer that failed to fade away from our mind and ever since the first glimpse, we are screaming for more details until its release. GRAVITY is one such movie.

So far, rave and positive early reviews were surfaced online and offline, especially from those lucky few who have a chance to saw it first hand. Recently, the Avatar director, James Cameron, shared his opinion about the movie and following is from his own mouth:

"I was stunned, absolutely floored. I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever done, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time. What is interesting is the human dimension. Alfonso and Sandra working together to create an absolutely seamless portrayal of a woman fighting for her life in zero gravity."

Note: Even though James Cameroon did help out Alfonso Cuaron (director of Gravity) on the film but I am pretty sure that his comment is not far off. By the way, Gravity will be released on 4th Oct 2013 in IMAX 3D.

Gravity - The New IMAX Poster

gravity, sandra bullockGravity, one of my most anticipated movie in Oct 2013 has been released with a new IMAX poster. For my earlier post on Gravityclick here. As per some positive comments surfaced on line, it will be out of this world's movie experience (literally). Top it with 100% rating on RottenTomatoes (one of the authority movie review site), it is one hell of the movie that everyone will be talking about from now till its release.

This is the kind of movie that once you've watched any of the earlier teaser/trailer, you will have the urge of watching it in IMAX 3D, or at least in IMAX.

Gravity will be released in IMAX 3D on 4th Oct 2013. Short synopsis of the film:

Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). Jobs And Diana - 2 Epic Biopic's Latest Trailers [Non 3D]

jobs and dianaOne is a visionary from US that changed the world and the other is people's Princess from UK that touches millions. Both are iconic figures of our times. Today, I am going to share 2 trailers from 2 upcoming biopic movies, Jobs and Diana (both look equally promising).

Simple movie titles but complicated lives!

One important point that I must mention again (I mentioned it in my social networks earlier) is that both movies did amazingly well is selecting the right actor/actress to play the titular roles (Ashton Kutcher for Steve Jobs and Naomi Watts for Princess Diana), they seems to fit into the roles perfectly well (especially their similarity in apprearance).

Both are non 3D movies but after watching the trailers, I thought it is still worthwhile to share it with my readers here.

Enjoy!

Inferno 3D (逃出生天) [Oct 2013]

Inferno 3D (逃出生天) First, not to confuse the movie that I am about to share with the latest novel from Dan Brown which bearing the same title (Inferno). By the way, talking about the Dan Brown's version, the movie project has been confirmed and Tom Hanks will reprise the role of Robert Langdon.

Now, let's get back to the Asian version of Inferno that I am sharing today. As you might be aware, 3D movies from Asia is hard to come by (I guess mainly due to the budget constraint), thus, when I first chanced upon this upcoming 3D movie from Hong Kong, I can't hold my excitement as it seems that we are in for a real 3D treat!

Inferno 3D (逃出生天) is directed by Pang brothers (whom brought us the horror movies like The Eye and Bangkok Dangerous). It is a movie about the heroism of firefighters. Starring Louis Khoo (古天乐), Sean Lau (刘青云) and Lee Sinje (李心洁).

Following are the official synopsis in English and Chinese:

On the hottest day in 50 years, in the density packed urban centre, a serious fire incident happened to a busy commercial tower because of an unexpected phenomenon known as “flashover”. As the fire burned their conscience to the ground, those who lacked passion in their life were about to meet a gaggle of firefighters with an indestructible enthusiasm to save lives.

Inferno 3D will be released on 3rd Oct 2013 in Asia. Keep reading to check out the trailer, featurette and movie posters/stills.

Enjoy!
