Robocop - IMAX Poster And Exclusive Clip (Feb 2014)

Robocop 2014
Robocop reboot in around the corner, it will be in IMAX and I am looking forward to it. I still remember when the Robocop suit first unveiled a few months back, it received tons and tons of negative feedback. But now, the finished product is almost here, I have a feeling that the early doubters might need to find a place to hide soon as it looks awesome in the trailer.

Sony Pictures has just released the IMAX Poster in crimson theme which is bloody badass. Also, Empire has shared an exclusive clip of the movie which is fantastic too. Before check out the video, take a look at the synopsis of Robocop (source : imdb.com) :

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) - a loving husband, father and good cop - is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

Now, enjoy the IMAX poster and video clip from Empire below.

Pompeii - New Trailer With Maximum Destruction (Feb 2014)

pompeii
Pompeii, the upcoming historical disaster movie, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson has been released with a new trailer. The finale scene of erupting volcano looks epic. It looks set to be a sad ending movie.

Starring Kit Harrington, Carrie-Ann Moss and Emily Browning, it will be released on 21st February 2014 (in 3D). Before watching the latest trailer, take a look on the synopsis of the movie here (source : GeekTyrant.com):

It’s late summer in 79 A.D. and the city of Pompeii glitters at the foot of the mighty Mt. Vesuvius. MILO, the slave of a shipping tycoon, dreams of the day he will buy his freedom and marry his master’s daughter, COLUMBA. What he doesn’t know is that Columba’s debt-ridden father has promised Columba to a despicable Roman Senator to pay off an overdue loan.

Milo does know that his friend, the Gladiator NIGELLUS, is being forced to compete the next day in a seemingly unwinnable battle in the Coliseum. As Milo tries to find a way to save his friend, he learns that Columba has been promised to another man and that he himself has been sold to a new master. Just as it seems things can’t get any worse, Mt. Vesuvius suddenly explodes with the power of 40 nuclear bombs, sending a torrent of 1,000-degree ash and smoke into the city. Lava flows down the mountainside, killing thousands. As Pompeii crumbles, Nigellus is imprisoned inside the Coliseum, Columba is locked inside her family’s villa, and Milo is trapped aboard a ship bound for Naples.

As the people of Pompeii flee the obliterated city, Milo is determined to return to it to save his friend and his beloved Columba. With fire and ash destroying the only world he’s ever known, an ordinary man is tested to his breaking point in this heart-pounding tale of extraordinary heroism.

ROBOCOP - Latest International Trailer (Feb 2014)

Robocop
Robocop is one of the long overdue reboot that I am looking forward to in 2014. Even though there are early negative review about the reboot (especially targeting at the new robocop suit), but when there are more and more marketing materials being released recently, I believed it will be a well taken reboot.

Directed by José Padilha and starring Joel Kinnaman (as Robocop), Gary Oldman Michael Keaton and Abbie Cornish. Following is the synopsis of Robocop :

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) - a loving husband, father and good cop - is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

Robocop will be released on 12th February 2014. A new international trailer has just been released and it came with a number of new footage.

ROBOCOP - The Impressive First Trailer (Feb 2014)

robocop 2014When the outfit of upcoming reboot of Robocop first surfaced online sometime back, lots of negative responses from the fans follow suit. Of course, it doesn't deter the progress of the project and it seems that the film maker might have made a right decision.

Recently, Columbia Pictures released the very first trailer of Robocop and it does look promising (at least better than I expected). Directed by José Padilha and starring Joel Kinnaman , Abbie Cornish, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. Following is the synopsis of the film:

In "RoboCop," the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. Pompeii - Teaser Trailer Of This Historical Volcanic Disaster Looks Promising (Feb 2014)

First, I must admit that I like disaster movies, especially those involved volcanic eruption (hence, I've watched Dante's Peak [1997] three times and Volcano [1997] two times, all in the cinemas). Thus, you might say that there is a slight bias regarding this post title of Pompeii (as it is a movie revolves around the historical eruption of Mt. Vesuvius). However, I am quite sure you will agree with me after watching this epic teaser trailer.
Dante's Peak (1997)
Volcano (1997)
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (whom last brought us the successful franchise sequel, Resident Evil - Retribution [2012]), even with lesser known casts like Kit Harington, Emily Browning and Carrie-Anne-Moss, this disaster-theme movie still worth the wait and I am looking froward to it in 2014.
Resident Evil - Retribution (2012)
Short synopsis of Pompeii:

Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city's coliseum.

Pompeii will be released on 28th Feb 2014 in 2D and 3D. Now, enjoy the first teaser trailer below.

The LEGO Movie - First Trailer

the lego movieFirst, I must first admit that I am not a LEGO fan and I don't see this (LEGO movie) coming in such a big scale. Warner Bros has just released the frist Movie Poster and Trailer for this upcoming Avenger-like lego movie. Yes, you hear me right, everything and all thing will be in LEGO.

I am sure LEGO fans (big or small) will find it interesting and rush to see it in big screen (and probably in 3D too). But personally, I don't see myself paying to see this in cinema ;-)

Short synopsis of The LEGO movie:

An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together

By the way, the movie will be voiced by huge casts like Morgan Freeman, Lian Neeson and Will Ferrell.  It will be in cinemas near you in Feb 2014.

Now, enjoy the movie poster and the very first trailer (the batman part is quite funny actually):
