A few days after I've shared the cool clips of 47 Ronin (click here to see the details), Universal Pictures has released another 2 action-packed clips.

The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug : 5 More New Posters

Decembers in year 2001 to 2003 are year of Lord Of The Rings and Decembers in year 2012 to 2014 are year of The Hobbit. Thus, this year December, we will be rekindled with the friendly hobbits in The Desolation Of Smaug.

We are only less than a month to go and Warner Brothers has recently released five more new character posters. They are all awesomely cool!

The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug will be released on 13th December (in IMAX 3D too) and following is the synopsis (source : imdb.com) :

After successfully crossing over (and under) the Misty Mountains, Thorin and Company must seek aid from a powerful stranger before taking on the dangers of Mirkwood Forest--without their Wizard. If they reach the human settlement of Lake-town it will be time for the hobbit Bilbo Baggins to fulfill his contract with the dwarves. The party must complete the journey to Lonely Mountain and burglar Baggins must seek out the Secret Door that will give them access to the hoard of the dragon Smaug. 47 Ronin - 2 Cool Clips (Dec 2013)

47 Ronin, one of my most anticipated movie in December. It is not because of Keanu Reeves or the Samurai theme but it is the awesome special effects that caught my eyes so far. 

Of course, I do hope that Keanu Reeves can make a come back with this movie (just like Sandra Bullock came back to A-list category with the hugely popular Gravity). Hmmmm... what a coincident, they both were in the movie "Speed" which shoot them into stardom. By the way, that was like almost 20 years ago.

The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug : 6 More International Character Posters (Dec 2013)

The media release for The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug just keep springing out even after I released a post about the last trailer and poster. So, never say never! ;-)

 

Anyway, I have no complaint as the 6 international character posters that I am sharing below are as awesome as the previous ones. If I am not wrong, these are the France version. They feature Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Orlando Bloom as Legolas, Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel, and Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman. 

Synopsis of the second instalment of The Hobbit Trilogy :

The Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf have successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo has gained the One Ring. They all continue their journey to get their gold back from the Dragon, Smaug.

YES! In slightly more than a month we are going to meet the hobbits again and the smaug (dragon)! In fact, I can't wait for it and hope is December coming faster. I think Warner Bros saw the thirst of the fans and has just a series of 7 character posters, one international poster plus a 3 plus minutes full trailer, all in one shot. 

The final trailer has quite an extensive new footage with greater flow of the sequence. The Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug will hit the cinemas on 13th December 2013 in 3D and IMAX 3D. 

Following is the synopsis of the movie:

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

After watching this latest trailer, I really really looking forward to watch 47 Ronin, probably in 3D. Yes, this is a remake but who cares? As long as there is good story line and mouth watering special effect..

Directed by Carl Rinsch, starring Keanu Reeve , Hiroyuki Sanada and Kô Shibasaki. I hope this movie can re-establish Keanu's filming career. Synopsis of 47 Ronin (source: GeekTyrant.com):

47 Ronin - The Latest Japanese Posters and Trailer (Dec 2013)

Here come another set of new posters and trailer from upcoming fantasy action thriller from Keanu Reeves, 47 Ronin. This time round, it is from Japan, where the movie is based upon. 

I have good feeling about this movie. No, it's not because Keanue Reeves is in it. It is because I quite like the story of Ninja blending with mythical creatures (like there is a scene in the trailer whereby Rinko Kikuchi [Mizuki] morph into a fierce dragon).

Now, with the two new stunning movie posters and a spectacular trailer from Japan, I think I will pay the premium to watch it in 3D coming December.

The second installment of the prequel, The Hobbit - The Desolation Of Smaug is a MUST WATCH December movie for many. As per the tradition, the movie will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D and I am very looking forward to it to see how Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and gang defying all odds and fulfil their destiny (Ok, I admit! I did not read any of the books).

The Secret Life Of Walter MItty - The Powerful New Trailer (Dec 2013)

Yet another seemingly great and powerful movie on Christmas Day. The movie posters and trailer released so far for The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty is anything but ordinary. Directed and starred by Ben Stiller, it looks very inspirational and imaginative. Also, I think many people can relate to the theme, which is looking at how we live our life. 

"Life is about courage and going into the UNKNOWN!"

Recently, 20th Century Fox released the full-length trailer of The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and it caught my eyes immediately with the new footage. At this moment, I think the movie might not be in 3D or IMAX format but I just love the trailer (and the soundtrack) and thus can't bring myself not to share it.

By the way, it is the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch (from the Sherlock and Star Trek Into Darkness fame).

The Secret Life Of Walter MItty - The Odd Yet Intriguing Posters And Trailer (Dec 2013) [Non 3D]

First, do take note that The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty is not a 3D or IMAX movie! So why do I still share it in a 3D movie blog like this? The simple reason is because I was intrigued by the trailer and poster of this remake and I thought you folks will find it interesting too. Hope I am right ;-)

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty is a remake of 1947 film with the same name (adapted from the original 1939 short story by James Thurber). You might thought that the story is so aged but fret not as the concept seems to be timeless.

47 Ronin - The New Japanese Poster And Trailer (Dec 2013)

The upcoming Keanu Reeves vehicle, 47 Ronin is gaining its momentum in their marketing effort (especially from their Japanese distributors). From its first international trailer (click here to view the formerly released trailer and movie posters), it does look much more interesting than his directorial debut, Man Of Tai Chi. 

Today, I am going to share one Japanese Poster (which I like the tone of the poster a lot) and one Japanese trailer of 47 Ronin, new footage can be found in this short trailer. 

47 Ronin is being directed by Carl Erik Rinsch (his first featured film) and it also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Tadanobu Asano, and Rinko Kikuchi. Short synopsis of the film:

In about four months time, we will have the chance to get up close and personal with the second instalment of the prequel trilogy, The Hobbit - The Desolution Of Smaug. As per the tradition, it will be in cinemas internationally in December 2013 (on 13th December 2013, to be exact).

So far, only one international trailer has been released (click here to watch the trailer). However, recently there are 2 teaser photos being circulated online and thus more official trailers/posters are expected to surface soon.

47 Ronin - This Very First Trailer Really Exceed My Expectation (Dec 2013)

47 Ronin, the second martial art project by Keanu Reeves (after his debutant directorship in Man Of Tai Chi) is creating a buzz on the web with its initial full-length trailer. After watching the trailer, I must say that it has exceeded my initial expectation (when I first saw the four character posters). 

 

47 Ronin is not a plain period movie with ancient Japan setting,

it has an element of fantasy and mythology in it. Oh, by the way, the Japanese actress (in one of the character poster shown below) is Rinko Kikuchi, the lady co-pilot of Jaeger in Pacific Rim named Mako Mori.

The Hobbit - The Desolution Of Smaug : First Trailer Is Finally here!

Finally, the much anticipated trailer for the second instalment of The Hobbit Trilogy, The Desolution Of Smaug is HERE! Warner Bros has released the first trailer a couple of hours ago and my first impression is : WOW!

 

The trailer is amazing and more action packed as compared to the first instalment, The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey (2012). The Desolution Of Smaug will be in theatres near you on 13th December 2013. In case you don't know, Smaug is actually one of the last remaining dragons in Middle-Earth.
