On one hand, Simon Pegg is a British writer, producer and actor (comedian) of which we last saw him in The World's End. On the other hand, Vin Diesel is a producer, director and actor (action) of which we last saw him in Fast & Furious 6.

Is Vin Diesel the voice of Groot in Guardian Of Galaxy?
What have Vin Diesel done? After some cryptic interview with L.A. Times (see the extracts in blue text below), he posted a photo of Groot next to his own photo in his Facebook Fan Page (which by the way has more than half a million fans):

"I’m an actor, [N]ot everything has to be the most obvious choice. And sometimes, the best thing you can do — as far as Steven Spielberg and his advice — is to defy expectations. So if everybody thinks you’re going to go for this one thing and you flip it entirely and go for the strangest Marvel character, it’s interesting. And when something is interesting, it’s inspiring."

What have Simon Pegg done? He posted the following photo in his Twitter account (which by the way has close to 3.5 millions followers) and wrote "Fun at Marvel" (do pay attention to where his finger is pointing at) :
