Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 Will Be In 3D

Great news!

Walt Disney Studios has officially announced that Iron Man 3 (2013) and Thor 2 - The Dark World (2013) will be released in 3D.

All the casts are reprising their respective roles in these 2 sequels. With the huge international success of The Avengers, added box office pressure is expected when these superhero going on their individual franchise.

Brief Synopsis : Tony Stark/Iron Man will head to China to face his toughest opponent, Mandarin.

Marvel vs DC Superheroes Movies, who win in US Box Office? [Infographic]

Alright, we all know that superhero movies are mainly come from two super-houses, Marvel and DC. If we were to take a stock (basing on the US Box Office) from way back to 1960s where the superheroes first made it mainstream in the cinema, who will win the battle?

In 2012 alone, the biggest battle is between The Avengers (Marvel) and The Dark Knight Rises (DC). The Avengers won the match by about $174 mil (see the infographic below for actual figures). How does other superhero movies like Superman, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Iron Man etc... fair? Check out the infographic below (source: fancydresscostume.co.uk) for detailed breakdowns. Yes, it is no surprise that Marvel comes out as the overall winner, at least for now.

As this is only the US Box Office, it will be interesting if someone can do a stock take on the international box office, wonder whether the result will be of any different? Meanwhile, enjoy the infographic below!

5 Recommendations To Curb Your Hunger For “The Avengers”

For the past few days/weeks or so, I believed most of you would have been “hit” by the massive marketing campaign (one way or the other) of the forthcoming mammoth blockbuster super hero movie “The Avengers”. There is simply no escape.

With the seemingly bottomless marketing budget, I think the “attack” will continue until the official international release, which is scheduled to be on 1st May 2012, the international Labour Day in many countries. To some, the wait is torturous. To curb your hunger for the Avengers, following are my 5 recommendation:

1. Read (or re-read) my blog posts (The Avengers - Special Character Posters and The Avengers (May 2012) ) on the multi-media sharing of the movie and get yourself familiarise with the characters involved (self promotion here! ;-))

2. Avengerised your gadgets by installing the Wall Papers, the Buddy Icon and Marvel Apps to your PC/Mac/Smartphones/Tablets. Follow the movie’s official site for the necessary download.

3. Join/Follow the Official Marvel Fan Pages to get regular updates of the latest multimedia sharing. Check out their Facebook fan page here:

The Avengers (May 2012)

By now, I am sure you folks have come across (one way or the other) the multimedia releases of the forthcoming blockbuster movie “The Avengers”. Be it the teasers, trailers or even the movie posters, the only response that I can muster is “Wow”! I truly believe that the movie will live-up to its hype.

If you are still clueless, The Avengers is a Super Heroes comic-book adaptation movie. Following the like of Spiderman, Batman etc… the major difference is that there will be many more heavyweights super heroes appearing in this movie. To name just a few: Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and a few others. So, besides expecting the marvelous special effects, do look out for the great performance from the lead actors/actress (I means the super heroes)

The movie will be released on 1 May 2012 (Labour Day) in US and many other countries, including my home country (Singapore). I already planned to catch it in IMAX 3D, one of my way to pamper myself. What about you? Are you going to catch it?
