Here are the TOP 5 Movies for the week ending 19th Aug 2012 (Sun).

SPECIAL NOTE : The much anticipated sequel, The Expendables 2 literally exploded into the top spot of US and Singapore box offices this week. The other new release, ParaNorman (animation) opened in the third place. As for the other much anticipated last movie by Whitney Houston, Sparkle didn't do so well and managed to get up to the 5th place.

ParaNorman (Aug 2012)

After Brave, here come the next 3D animation movie, ParaNorman. From the synopsis, it reminds me of the funnier (or kid) version of "The Sixth Sense", you know, especially the "I see dead people" part?

In any case, as this is a comedy, thus, lots of funny stuff is expected there. Even though there are no big stars in this film but I have a gut feeling that it will be a fun ride as the director (Chris Butler) is the one who brought us the powerful animation like Corpse Bride (2005) and Coraline (2009).
